Concept

“Named Tsubaki — drawing from the Japanese concept of ‘binding the soul’ — this customized villa is designed to be a true reflection of the people who call it home. We steered completely clear of safe, predictable design choices. Instead, this project is driven by an experimental approach to bold colors, striking forms, and heavy, tactile textures that give the villa a highly distinct personality.”

Rooms

Living area — “The home’s energy hits you right away.” A confident, bold red anchors the space, breaking away from standard living room palettes to create an area that feels “incredibly vibrant and alive. It sets a strong baseline for the rest of the house, showing early on that color and form are never treated as afterthoughts here.”

Master bedroom — the focus was “entirely on elevated luxury.” A stunning statement wallpaper sits right behind the study unit and drives the aesthetic for the rest of the suite; materials and finishes take their cues from that central feature to feel plush and high-end.

Toddler’s bedroom — a much softer approach that keeps the home’s strong architectural language intact. The room is washed in soft pinks, with fluid curves introduced through wall arches, giving it “a playful, storybook feel while still tying back to the villa’s overall focus on deliberate, structural forms.”
