Concept

“Inspired by the traditional Kerala floral rangoli, ‘Pookalam’ is a family home that balances bright, confident hues with an underlying sense of quiet luxury.”

Designed for a young couple, the home “introduces its color palette right at the entrance with a vibrant foyer. A vividly hued foyer console serves as a bold opening statement, beautifully setting the tone for the chromatic journey that unfolds inside.”

The brief closes: “The result is a home that uses a wide mix of colors, yet remains completely calm and cohesive. ‘Pookalam’ is a brilliant reflection of the quiet luxury championed by Wellcraft Spaces — proving that a home can celebrate a dynamic spectrum of color while remaining an absolute oasis of understated, enduring elegance.”

Foyer — a vividly hued console as the bold opening statement.

Living room — a bold entertainment unit, intentionally paired with a handmade, neutral backdrop to keep the visual weight grounded and natural.

Dining — “a thoughtful blend of modern and contemporary sensibilities.” Minimal wall beading and elegant glass display cabinets offer a refined backdrop for family meals, culminating in a serene puja corner that anchors the room in spiritual quietude.

Kitchen — adjacent to the dining space, striking “a charming, inviting balance”:

  • Cabinetry: lush, charming greens infuse the space with vitality.
  • Texture: a crisp white herringbone dado elegantly neutralizes the bold lower cabinets.
  • Warmth: upper cabinetry in warm wood tones adds an organic softness.
